Conditions of Participation Rafting Valais

Below are the physical requirements for rafting, funyaking and kayaking of difficulty III and above (medium to high difficulty). Does not apply to floating.

  • Be able to swim and be immersed.
  • Be in good health and able to do the activity for which you are registered.
  • For women Not to be pregnant.
  • Accept the risks inherent in the activity, rapids, waves, obstacles.
  • Have accident insurance covering this activity.
  • Not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Not to be under the influence of any medication that may disrupt behaviour and make it incompatible with the activity.
  • In the event of allergies requiring rapid medication (epipen, spray, lozenges etc), have informed the raft or fun-kayak convoy guide, and given him/her the medication and instructions for administration before boarding.
  • Listen to and strictly follow the safety instructions given during the briefing, in particular concerning the attitude to adopt when swimming in the river:
    • Never attempt to stand up by leaning on the bottom of the watercourse.
    • Immediately get on your back and take your toes out of the water.
    • Follow the instructions of the guide, safety cataraft operator or safety kayaker
  • For rafting specifically, do not let go of the paddle shaft except to help someone back into the boat.
  • Follow the directions given by the guides from the moment you arrive at the embarkation point until you return to the rafting base.

For minors, the signature of the parents, legal representative or guardian is required.
